This property is also available from 27th for 7 nights
Wallowie Fields - 10 Higgins Court, Rye - $4500 for a 7 night stay
http://www.holidayshacks.com.au/property/1 000156?mini=calendar/ac_1000156/2010-12
Any suggestions?
Edit: Once again, Terms & Conditions state 'Not a Party House' so a little discretion will be required. We will also need to put in name & age of all people (max 16) staying at the house, so i will need at least 16 volunteers for names. i'm guessing older is better too.
Edit2:
WHO WANTS TO HAVE THEIR NAME DOWN? would anyone mind becoming a married couple for the sake of appearances ;)

Last night I had a dream that Twigz went all they way to South Australia to get a pedicure, because he really liked a particular beauty salon there.

To our paid users, we send squirrels in love!
| If you have a paid or permanent account, you can send five free Squirrels in love vgifts through Monday, March 15th at 4pm, PST! You'll see both the free and the $0.99 squirrels displayed until they've scurried off to their new homes. Please send only one vgift at a time. In other words, you'll need to complete check-out and start a new order for each vgift you send. If you're not receiving vgifts (from friends and/or Frank), you may have disabled them. To enable vgifts, visit Edit profile (under Profile), scroll down to the bottom of the page, and select 'Do not disable' from the drop-down menu. Have fun! |
Help is on the way!
| We're pleased to announce the winner of our first charitable vgift poll, Doctors without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières, which provides critical medical care to under-served populations around the world. Priced at $2.99, we'll donate 100 percent of the proceeds we raise from the sale of this vgift (we'll cover credit card fees). We invite you to start recommending nonprofits for our next fundraising drive at |

Certainly not the weekend I planned, but many memories that add up to an adventure.
Disappointed when my brother and his girlfriend decided no to come along. Happy to have surprise passengers Ruvith and Kaz take their place. Getting to know Ruvith and being introduced to new music. Quality time with
tillriedel. Being (slightly) involved in helping a festival happen. Anticipation when going to bed before Protoculture. Way sick after over indulging. Dissapointed at Protocultures lacklustre set. Faith in music restored by Zen Mechanics and Andromeda. CFA 4WD doing a doughnut around a petrified Mon. Enjoying mega rain storm from (relative) safety. Packing flooded tent into the car with help from
decoy_twigz. Being offered space in a dry tent by
ojtinkerbell and
sevaine. 10 hours sleep. Smiling, crazy, (mostly) happy friends. Happy to get out with no damage to me or the car.
Mud. So. Much. Freaking. Mud.

Despite only having my iphone out I think I captured the gist of my experience. The highs and the lows.... except the biggest low, which was sleeping in the car. I freaking hate sleeping in the car. The best part of that though, was having Trav there.
I managed miraculously to stay dry and warm the whole time. For those reading from os, the festival I went to on the weekend got hit by a short but intense storm that filled the field with rain, some cars being underwater halfway up their bodies. We were lucky and only got ankle deep mud around our campsite, and even just soggy ground in some patches. The rain started Sunday (well, Friday, but we'd stayed in Shepparton nearby) and poured down torrentially for a short while then continued on and off til Monday morning when it stopped. Most of the 'roads' were churned into ankle deep mud, people were either going barefoot or wearing boots. Luckily I always take gumboots.
Needless to say my costume efforts went out the window but fortunately they'll be useful on many other occasions. Some people still busted out some pretty neat stuff and I got into my rainbow coat and made a foil hat from the rolls that Jess brought.

Selina's foxy outfit:

The state of the 'ground' inside our marquee and the 'road' outside.

Corch pulling a bikini-clad Joni on an esky lid. If she'd been holding a can of Bundy she'd probably have gotten an award for Australian Of The Year.

The most pointless sign at the party:

As has already been stated, the comraderie was the biggest highlight. Everyone looked after everyone else and everyone smiled almost the whole time. However, although I always check the weather before camping, I'm going to read it a lot more seriously in future:P.
